How to Leave No Trace

If you love the outdoors as much as we do, you want to preserve it. According to Leave No Trace, "Nine out of ten people who visit the outdoors are uninformed about Leave No Trace and minimizing their impacts. Leave No Trace training is helping to instill an outdoor ethic in all those who enjoy spending time outside."

A full list of training courses are available on their website: https://lnt.org/get-involved/training-courses/

On the site you can read more about their 7 Principles

  1. Plan ahead and prepare
  2. Travel and camp on durable surfaces
  3.  Dispose of waste properly
  4. Leave what you find
  5. Minimize campfire impacts
  6. Respect wildlife
  7. Be considerate of others

After a day hike or a weekend of camping, the best feeling is slipping on a pair of Staheekum slippers for men and women. Shop new arrivals and purchase a t-shirt and we'll plant four trees for every shirt sold through Trees for the Future!
